Accessibility

Our aim

Parkoni should be usable by everyone, including with a keyboard, a screen reader, magnification or low vision. We follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA and the European standard EN 301 549.

What we do

  • We design Parkoni so that every page can be used with the keyboard and the focus is visible.
  • Forms have labelled fields; error messages appear next to the field and are announced to screen readers.
  • We make sure there is enough contrast and that text can be enlarged to 200 % without losing content.
  • Photos have descriptive alternative texts; purely decorative elements such as the car park animation on the home page are hidden from screen readers.
  • Motion is switched off if your device is set to "reduce motion".
  • Every page states its language so that screen readers read it correctly.
  • We automatically check the most important pages for barriers with every version.

Known limitations

  • The payment form is provided by the payment service Stripe; Stripe is responsible for its accessibility.
  • PDF documents (voucher, invoices) are not yet fully accessible. You will also find all the information from them on the voucher page and in your confirmation email.
  • The map on the home page is an image; you can also reach all airports through the search and the list of destinations.
  • Descriptions and photos of the car parks come from the operators; if an alternative text is missing, we add it when notified.

Legal framework

Cryon UG (haftungsbeschränkt) is a micro-enterprise and, as a provider of services, is exempt from the requirements of the German Barrierefreiheitsstärkungsgesetz (BFSG) under § 3 Abs. 3 BFSG. We nevertheless work towards an accessible service and publish this statement voluntarily.
